Skelly has been at KORN/KQRN since 1986, news director since 1998. He has served as a Board Member for many local organizations, including Mitchell Area Safe House, Dakota Counseling and the Crime Stoppers. But it was his service to his profession that swayed the judges. Skelly is or has been a Board Member or Chairman of the SDBA, Iowa Broadcast News Association, Midwest Journalism Conference, and the Radio and TV Professionals Network. He is also a member of the Northwest Broadcast News Association.
