Robert D. Hill
In 1943, he began his career in broadcasting at KVOD, Denver, CO. Shortly after, the couple moved to Omaha, NE where he spent time at KOWH, KFAB and KMTV. In 1956 a move to Yankton, SD began his 34 year career at radio station WNAX. In 1987, he received the Tom Brokaw Award for excellence in broadcasting. He retired in 1990. Many listeners will remember starting their day as WNAX began their programming schedule with Bob Hill’s recording of “This is Your Day.” He served as News Director for WNAX for many years. Robert was awarded the Tom Brokaw award in 1987.
